Happy Christmas Eve everyone. Yay! It's almost over!
Thanks for the milk affirmation, Holliday and Afton. "Nectar of the gods" is a phrase I use a lot, Holliday, and it's v. appropriate for milk. Hubby and I bought a couple more gallons tonight. Afton, I do like ice cream, but often when we buy it, we eat some and then it ends up sitting in the fridge developing frost. I think there's some in there right now. I guess I get tired of it.
I meant to post here last night but I fell asleep in my chair with my laptop on my lap. I woke up at midnight and went up to bed. Dang, I've been tired. Good thing I have some time off to recover.
It's strange to have this much snow on the ground, and it will be nice to have a white Christmas for a change. I love the snow. Even driving in it is fun. We don't have a lot of snow-removal equipment in our city so the neighborhood streets are still filled with deep snow. Because it's stayed so cold, the snow isn't melting off the roads or even packing down, so it's fun to go around corners because the car fishtails a little bit, especially while the clutch is in when I downshift, until the all-wheel drive kicks in when I accelerate. Of course, I don't do that when there's another car coming or if there's a ca parked, but if the street is clear, it's play time.

I think palm trees are ugly. I can't help it. I watch movies or TV shows set in Miami or L.A. and they have palm trees lining the streets and I think they're hideous. They're just ... ugh.

Neighbors just stopped by to give us a plate of Christmas goodies. These kids (I can call them that -- they're a lot younger than us) are so nice. We've really enjoyed getting to know them since they moved into the neighborhood last spring and it was so nice of them to bring us something. They don't have any kids but they have three dogs, so it's fun to visit with them.
